Remember when people were saying this year’s UCONN ladies could have been the best team ever? What a joke; they can’t even beat the President in a friendly game of P-I-G. Though you could argue they aren’t used to playing outside, that’s something all great players have to account for. Just ask Billy Hoyle.
Do you let [...]

20 years ago neither one of these two hits would be a big deal. No blood no foul (or in Brad Miller’s case, no lost teeth no foul). Call if what you want, the wussification of America, bla bla bla. I’m all for a tougher no nonsense NBA, but I’m so sick of the inconsistency [...]

Joe Dumars is as well-suited for a job as a G.M. in the NBA as Michael Jackson is to be a day care provider. Dumars has officially screwed the city of Detroit out of the only joy that craphole of a town has had in the last decade. Allen Iverson’s nickname is The Answer but [...]

95. Rashad Johnson - S - Alabama
Johnson was a former walk-on who developed into a team captain and two-time starter while twice earning first time All-SEC honors and being named second team All-American in 2008, not to mention he was listed as the second best safety in the draft (Scouts Inc. had his overall rank at 48). I [...]

How many times do we have to see this commercial? It’s not even funny. The cashier should have said, “Why would we negotiate we have you under contract for two more years!”

Day 1 is in the books. Matt Stafford went number 1 as expected, the Jets moved up to 5 to take Mark Sanchez, and Al Davis clearly smokes the best crack in the world. The Cardinals, albeit extremely boring, were smart and addressed two positions they were clearly lacking in depth.
31. Chris “Beanie” Wells - RB [...]

Yes the Lions were 0-16 last year. Yes they are going to be terrible again this year. But with five of the first 82 picks they can set a pretty good foundation. It became clear the Stafford was the Lions guy for number 1 and they made it official, agreeing to 6 years $78 million [...]
